This occasion is profound, indeed!
Recently we went to Washington D.C. to become one of the official signers of
the "religious proclamation for kindness to animals". Religious leaders,
animal welfare advocates and political allies joined Best Friends
representatives and supporters in our nation’s capital on Wednesday November
7th, 2007 to usher in a new era of compassion toward animals.
Faith leaders, Best Friends members and others attended the presentation and
signing of this proclamation, a historic document that calls on people of
faith to include kindness toward animals as a key spiritual value and an
